The old tide mill, the brewery and the terraces of the men who work them.

The tide mill has not turned since 1961. The brewery chimney is still the first thing you see from the ferry, and on a warm day the whole of Mill End smells faintly of malt. The terraces were built for the men who worked the mill and the brewery, and some of the families who moved in then have never moved out.
