The church belongs to a saint nobody outside Cornwall has heard of, and the parish is very proud of that. The lantern procession has set out from its porch every year since anyone can remember. The school next door still has a brass bell by the gate, and the tea room across the lane still stays open past six, to the quiet disapproval of the vicar.
