J. L. Castell

J. L. Castell is a Spanish software engineer who has spent his career doing what detectives do: facing a tangle of facts, discarding what cannot be true, and following the evidence until only one answer remains.

A lifelong reader with a weakness for history, science and the unexplained, he has always loved the moment when every piece finally clicks into place. That fascination led him to design his own cases, and to build the software that checks them. Every puzzle in the series is tested by a program that confirms each clue is fair, each clue is needed, and exactly one suspect survives.

When he isn’t building cases, he’s reading, sailing, travelling, or plotting the next mystery at home in Spain.
